 South Street Headhouse District Introduces Their Friday Night —the Fourth One This summer, the South Street Headhouse District, Philadelphia’s Premier Entertainment District for arts and culture, is introducing their own night of specials within the District—Fourth Friday. Patrons will be able to enjoy all of the benefits the District has to offer for a small price on the fourth Friday of every month throughout the summer. In addition to the main attractions of the District, the restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, and historic landmarks; the new streetscape of South Street, and its talented street performers, are fast becoming another reason to spend the day on South. Take in the freshly planted trees lining the street, and the eclectic performances, while strolling to the specials and promotions from your favorite South Street destinations. |

 Whip out your folding chair and gather your friends for the South Street Headhouse District‘s Summer Film Series. Bring back the drive-in memories of outdoor movies, complete with milkshakes, fries, and fifty’s diner hats provided by Johnny Rockets, during the series kick-off screening of Grease- the perfect way to spend a summer night. Every Wednesday night at dark, gather under the historic shambles at 2nd and Pine Streets, Philadelphia’s oldest marketplace, for a night the whole family can enjoy. Starting June 24 through September 9, the rich and diverse businesses that make up the Premier Entertainment District will sponsor the screenings; featuring films that reflect music, art and culture- the roots that the Headhouse District thrives on. Accompanying these films will be food and drink specials, thematic dress codes and fun activities to participate in. Most importantly, admission into this Philadelphia film series is FREE!
Later this summer, Chic Petique, the district’s uber-fashionista pet boutique, will be sponsoring Beethoven, making BYOC also BYOD-Bring Your Own Dog! The petique will pair up with Philadelphia’s own WXPN Radio to present a Kid’s Corner with some family favorite characters for your kids to catch up with. |
